In the past twenty years hundreds of infants and young children have died after being left in vehicles, usually by accident. When turning the vehicle off, drivers of the Celestiq are reminded to check the back seat if they opened the rear door before starting out. The e-tron GT doesn’t offer a back seat reminder.

Both the Celestiq and the e-tron GT have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, driver and front passenger knee airbags, side-impact head airbags, front seatbelt pretensioners, height adjustable front shoulder belts, four-wheel antilock brakes, all wheel drive, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, crash mitigating brakes, daytime running lights, lane departure warning systems, blind spot warning systems, around view monitors and rear cross-path warning.

The Cadillac Celestiq weighs 863 to 874 pounds more than the Audi e-tron GT. The NHTSA advises that heavier cars are much safer in collisions than their significantly lighter counterparts.

Cadillac’s powertrain warranty covers the Celestiq 2 years and 20,000 miles longer than Audi covers the e-tron GT. Any repair needed on the engine, transmission, axles, joints or driveshafts is fully covered for 6 years or 70,000 miles. Coverage on the e-tron GT ends after only 4 years or 50,000 miles.

There are over 85 percent more Cadillac dealers than there are Audi dealers, which makes it much easier should you ever need service under the Celestiq’s warranty.

J.D. Power and Associates’ 2024 Initial Quality Study of new car owners surveyed provide the statistics that show that Cadillac vehicles are better in initial quality than Audi vehicles. With 28 fewer problems per 100 vehicles, JD Power ranks Cadillac higher than Audi.

From surveys of all its subscribers, Consumer Reports’ January 2024 Auto Issue reports that Cadillac vehicles are more reliable than Audi vehicles. Consumer Reports ranks Cadillac 3 places higher in reliability than Audi.

For better traction, the Celestiq has larger tires than the e-tron GT (285/35R23 vs. 245/45R20). The Celestiq’s optional tires are larger than the largest tires available on the e-tron GT (285/35R23 vs. 265/35R21).

The Celestiq’s standard tires provide better handling because they have a lower 40 series profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the e-tron GT’s standard 45 series front tires.

For better ride, handling and brake cooling the Celestiq has standard 22-inch wheels. Smaller 20-inch wheels are standard on the e-tron GT. The Celestiq’s optional 23-inch wheels are larger than the 21-inch wheels optional on the e-tron GT.

The Celestiq has a standard easy tire fill system. When inflating the tires, the vehicle’s integrated tire pressure sensors keep track of the pressure as the tires fill and tell the driver when the tires are inflated to the proper pressure. The e-tron GT doesn’t offer vehicle monitored tire inflation.

Having a flat tire is dangerous, inconvenient and expensive. The self-sealing tires standard on the Celestiq can automatically seal most punctures up to 3/16 of an inch, effectively preventing most flat tires. The e-tron GT doesn’t offer self-sealing tires.

The Celestiq has active sway bars, which help keep it flat and controlled during cornering, but disconnect at lower speeds to smooth the ride and offer greater off-road suspension articulation. This helps keep the tires glued to the road on-road and off. The e-tron GT doesn’t offer an active sway bar system.

For a smoother ride and more stable handling, the Celestiq’s wheelbase is 16 inches longer than on the e-tron GT (130.2 inches vs. 114.2 inches).

The Celestiq uses computer-generated active noise cancellation to help remove annoying noise and vibration from the passenger compartment, especially at low frequencies. The e-tron GT doesn’t offer active noise cancellation.

The Celestiq has 2.5 inches more front headroom, 3.9 inches more front legroom, 3.2 inches more front shoulder room, 2.2 inches more rear headroom, 6.5 inches more rear legroom and 4.8 inches more rear shoulder room than the e-tron GT.

J.D. Power and Associates surveys of service recipients show that Cadillac service is better than Audi. J.D. Power ranks Cadillac fifth in service department satisfaction. With a 29% lower rating, Audi is ranked 18th.

Standard air conditioned seats in the front and rear seats keep the Celestiq’s passengers comfortable and take the sting out of hot leather in summer. The e-tron GT doesn’t offer air-conditioned seats in the rear.

The Celestiq has a standard heated steering wheel to take the chill out of steering on extremely cold winter days before the car heater warms up. A heated steering wheel costs extra on the e-tron GT.

The Celestiq’s standard oscillating air vents move back and forth and distribute air evenly inside the vehicle, making everyone more comfortable. The e-tron GT doesn’t offer oscillating vents.
